Updates and pics...

So Charlie is doing better now that things have settled down and we got her prevacid filled. Almost a week went by from the time she was discharged till GI got the form put in for the insurance. Charlie got really bad in that time and I ended up taking her to Licking *just* for a dose of prevacid and to check her iron since I was afraid she was losing too much blood. Her iron level was 14.6 so no problems there! She's been doing so well on the prevacid that I decided to try to feed through her G....no go. I can't believe her stomach completely stopped working after 9 days of J feeding!? But she's running a fever now so maybe she's sick and that's why it didn't work. I will definitley be trying again when we get the elecare (yeah they forgot to fax that over too so it's taking a while to get here).

Here's Adrian getting a lesson on static electricity:

And our little christmas tree. We're pretty broke so I was very proud of this. I only spent $13 on it, the lights, and the ornaments!

Miss Charlie has decided to start sleeping in, which sounds nice, except that means she wants to stay up until 9:30 every night! Here she is fully dressed at 9:30 in the morning. She only woke up when I took her outside in the cold and strapped her in the car seat. Nothing else wakes this child up! I'm trying to wake her up earlier so she'll go to sleep earlier but she's pretty persistent!

And Charlie's OT Angie is no longer working at the center we go to. :-( This was their last session together.

Oh no, Angie left? Brandon will be sad about that--he loved her, but because he went to school this year, they had to stop seeing eachother. But I was going to take him in on Christmas break to say hi!

I love the static electricity picture--that is hilarious!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience at Children's Hospital. What city do you live in? Totally unacceptable, but sounds like you all rallied well. I hope Charlie feels better soon. I know of what you speak. We've been dealing with double pneumonia since last week.

I would love to add "Miss Charlie" to Amelia's blog and vice versa. Let me know if that's okay with you.

Also, I think your tree looks spectacular! Very festive

Oh absolutely! I check Amelia's blog frequently. I found it from Miss Hannah's blog. :-)

Re: the sleeping. Has she been put on any seizure meds? Lily was sleeping upwards of 18 hours a day on Keppra and Depakote/Depakane

She is on phenobarb, keppra, and topamax. Which is a pretty heavy combo. I expect her to sleep more than normal, I just wish she'd sleep when I want her to which is 7-7 not 9-9! LOL

It's just so crazy how similar things are... same sz meds, same elecare, same sleep schedule, LOL!! Yeah, Kylee is my little teenager too - I'm dragging her out of bed at 0900, but at 2200 she's just grinning away!!
