Charlie can't pee. :-(

I was totally expecting this but it's still upsetting. Know how every couple of months something in her body stops working right? Well, her bladder is freaking out. She's holding forever and then flooding out of her diaper. She isn't in pain yet, that I know of. It's sometimes hard to tell, because she doesn't just cry when she's in pain. Most of the time she just shuts down. She'll look like she's taking a nap. She does that sometimes when they go to get an IV. She's been holding her pee for about 3 weeks and it sort of creeped up on us. But after a few days I knew what was going on. I knew it was only a matter of time.

So hopefully we'll get some answers today. We're at children's for pneumonia and this ends up being our main concern. Go figure. LOL Yesterday she went 12 hours and then I woke up to the nurses changing her bedding. She completely flooded a bone-dry disposable. I tested one one time. Poured water in it. A size 4 holds about 24 oz of fluid. I can't even inagine how full she must be getting to completely soak it and leak out.

When I was pregnant, both times, towards the end I had trouble going and it is *painful*! I would eventually, by leaning every which way while sitting on the toilet. For me it was a positional thing because the baby's head was blocking...something, I'm sure. For Charlie it's neurological probably. No official diagnosis yet. And with everything neurological, she tends to just get worse and worse.

I don't want to cath my baby!!! *cry*

I know that's probably what's going to happen though.

I'm so sorry! My DD has had some bladder problems and had to be cathed a bunch of times. I'll pray that Charlie's bladder starts working again on its own!

I'm sorry things aren't going well... I hope you don't have to end up cathing :(

On a side note, I love that you tested the diaper :) The things we do for our kids, huh?

I'm sorry. :( Lily has done this a few times, for a few weeks in a row.
